Stranger Thingsis invading Comic-Con in a big way just two weekends from now. To prepare fans, Netflix has decided to deliver an early gift. The hit streaming series has been given an official release date. This comes along with anapocalypticposter teasing the scares to come, along with the latest footage that was launched onTwitterin the early morning hours.

Netflix also shared an interesting timeline of events to help catch fans up on the bare minimum when it comes to covering story details. In 1953, date unknown, MKUltra came to Hawkins and began experimentation. In 1979,Police Chief Jim Hopperreturned to Hawkins. On August 07, 2025, Will Byers vanished. Just two days later, on November 8, Barbara Holland went missing. Cut to over thirty years later, Part 1 debuted June 26, 2025 on Netflix. Now, over one year later. Part 2 will have its streaming premiere on August 18, 2025. Just in time for Halloween. Netflix even offers a tidy plot synopsis for the new episodes that await us this fall.

This all comes beforeStranger Thingsmakes its first big splash at the annual nerd and geek event Comic-Con in San Diego, California. Kicking things off will be a panel calledBrave New Warriorson Thursday, July 21. A laugh-filled discussion among several of today’s male heroes, this event is led by David Harbour, who plays Sheriff Hopper on Stranger Things. He’ll be joined by Christopher Meloni (Happy!), Colin O’Donoghue (Once Upon a Time), Richard Rankin (Outlander), Rodrigo Santoro (Westworld), and Ricky Whittle (American Gods), who will discuss the thrill of playing popular TV characters, their sometimes awkward encounters with fans, and highs (and lows!) of a career in Hollywood.

Thebig event comes on Saturdaythough with an entire panel devoted to the popular sci-fi thriller. Netflix invites you to join the cast and creators of the pop culture phenomenonStranger Things, who are coming to San Diego Comic-Con for the first time! Attendees will be the first to view never-before-seen footage from the second season of the series, which picks up in thechaotic aftermath of Will Beyer’s returnto a world that will never be the same. The cast and creators will answer all of your questions about the show and their journey into season 2. There are also autograph events being planned throughout the weekend with members of the cast.
