The CW has released a series finale trailer forSupernatural. While the end is near, fans still have another three episodes to go before they bid farewell to the Winchester Brothers. In addition to footage from the final episode, fans are treated to a look at the retrospective special,Supernatural: The Long Road Home, which will air before the episode on November 19th. “After 15 seasons, the longest running sci fi series in the US is coming to an end. Baby, it’s the final ride for saving people and hunting things.”

TheSupernaturalseries finale was directed by Robert Singer from a story written by Andrew Dabb.Jared Padaleckihas already deemed the episode as his favorite of the long-running show’s 15-season history. Padalecki recently said that he “couldn’t be more pleased with the way it turned out,” before adding, “The series finale is my favorite episode of all time.” His co-star Jensen Ackles agreed with him, noting that there are certain scenes that rank up there with his favorites of all time. “It’s a fantastic way for the show to wrap up,” said Ackles.

Fans of the long-running series were not excited to learn that season 15 was going to be the end, though the cast and crew knew it was the perfect time to bring theSupernaturalstory to a close. Richard Speight Jr. directed the penultimate episode, which he deems as one that “matters.” He says, “I think the episode is impactful for the story and the characters and has deep roots that are embedded in thelong, long journey of the seriesand the characters involved in the series.” Speight Jr. went on to note, “Some episodes are entertainment and some episodes matter. I think this episode, in the life ofSupernatural, matters.”

For fans ofSupernatural, it all matters. The final three episodes are upon us and it has given time for everybody to reflect. Thepublic health crisis delayed productionthe final two episodes, which gave the cast and crew some time to figure out what the final episodes were going to mean for them personally, along with the fans. While nothing big was changed in terms of the storytelling, both Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki enjoyed the extra time to meditate on what the end means to them and their characters.

In addition to having thefinal two episodes delayed, The CW chose to stop running the new episodes that were finished up to that point, which gave fans almost two parts of the final season, and something to look forward to for the fall. However, that’s all about to change in the next few weeks as the final season comes to a close. you’re able to get a hint of what the end is looking like above, thanks toThe CW Network YouTubechannel.
