While opinions vary on which of the movies made from the author’s string of bestselling books is the best of all, this coming-of-age film from director Rob Reiner is often deemedthe best non-horror film by the author. Now considered a classic'80sfilm,Stand by Mereturned to theaters a few years ago for its 35th anniversary, but now fans of the film will get another chance to see it on the big screen — and this time, they’ll be inverygood company.
The re-release event, dubbed “Stand by Me Live,” consists of screenings attended by stars of the film. Corey Feldman, Jerry O’Connell, and Wil Wheaton will attend the screenings, which will also honor their late co-star River Phoenix. Tickets can already be purchased on theofficial website, which has listed the event with the following logline:
