Marvel Studios has seemingly spared no expense in marketing and promoting its upcoming film,The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It’s been a little over ten years since the lastFantastic Fourfilm was released in theaters, and Josh Trank’s iteration of the team was poorly received, both critically and financially. The film was plagued by behind-the-scenes turmoil, along with rumors of heavy studio interference and poor on-set behavior by Trank. So, it only makes sense that the long-awaited integration of the team into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) would be taken seriously and given as much fanfare as this film has.

The tie-in merchandise has been especially prevalent in stores and online, with a wide range of products created to connect with the film. More traditional products, such as action figures, Funko Pops, and clothing, have been released, but there have also been some more unconventional kinds of merchandise to purchase. More specifically, TruMoo will release a special flavored low-fat milk to celebrate the movie’s release. According to a new press release, the “Fantastic Berry” TruMoo flavored milk will be available in grocery stores and will also offer fans the opportunity to claim a collectible glass.

Fantastic Four TruMoo Milk Glasses

The “Power Up Your Pour” limited-edition glasses can be claimed on a special Marvel Milk website, provided fans upload proof of a qualifying purchase of TruMoo milk. There are four (fantastic) glass designs for each member of the team, and what makes them so special is the fact that they change colors and reveal a vivid design when a drink is poured into the cup. It’s a unique marketing tactic that aligns with the aesthetic ofMatt Shakman’s film.

‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Leans Into the ’60s Aesthetic With Its Marketing

Ever since the first design revealed the cast of the film,Fantastic Four: First Stepshas leaned heavily into the backdrop of a retro-futuristic New York City, which is incredibly reminiscent of the fashion and architecture of the 1960s. That period was filled with vivid marketing for a variety of products, and the designs of the glasses TruMoo is advertising also resemble the art style popular in the 1960s. In more ways than one, this newest marketing gimmick plays into the backdrop of the movie.

The trailers for the film also featured the adoring public proudly displaying their love for it, which makes the collectible glasses feel even more in line with something that could be seen in the film’s world. The mainline MCU universe isn’t as detached as what’s been shown inFirst Steps, providing Marvel Studios with an exceptional marketing opportunity to make this upcoming movie stand apart from the past few releases. WithThunderbolts*andCaptain America: Brave New Worldhaving less-than-exceptional box office returns, it’s understandable that Marvel and Disney would make such a hard push to make the MCU debut of Marvel’s First Family feel like an event film.

Theopening-weekend box office projections forFantastic Fourindicate that the movie will have a strong start, with high-end predictions suggesting it could earn as much as $155 million. The MCU film is set to release in theaters only a couple of weeks after James Gunn’sSuperman, which also boasts some impressive financial forecasts of its own. No matter how it turns out, it won’t be due to a lack of marketing thatFirst Stepsfails, as the promotional team behind the film has come up with some fantastic marketing.
