Season 1 ofThe Night Agentsaw Peter Sutherland, a run-of-the-mill FBI agent, being assigned to the basement of the White House. His task? Man a phone that never rings. Until one day, it does. Having answered that one call on the Night Action phone line, Peter’s life is thrown into instant chaos.He is roped into a conspiracy involving the highest levels of government and is tasked with protecting the caller, the former CEO of a tech company, Rose Larkin.
Peter and Rose are compelled to work together, attempting to unravel the conspiracy and identify the mole in the White House. Given that Rose’s aunt and uncle themselves were agents prior to being murdered in their home, Rose automatically becomes a party to the action-packedworld of assassins, bombers, and plots to kill the president that Peter is pulled into.

The Night Agent tells the story of a low-level FBI agent who becomes involved in a conspiracy. It currently has a 10-episode season.
Despite weaving a narrative packed with conspiracies, secrets, and action,The Night AgentSeason 1 wraps up quite neatly. Peter manages to save the president from an attempted bomb attack at Camp David, officially becomes a Night Agent, and also learns the truth about his father. The reputation of his father,an FBI agent himself, hangs over Peter from the get-go. At the end of Season 1, the mystery surrounding his father is finally solved.
Peter learns that his father had, in fact, provided information to a foreign agent under the belief that it would not prove too detrimental. The end of Season 1, bringing some disappointment to fans, also sees Rose and Peter separated. The duo, amidst all the chaos, begin a romantic relationship, sharing their first kiss in Episode 7.The final episode sees the couple go their separate ways, with Peter getting on a plane and embarking on his first mission as a Night Agent.

The Night Agentis one of Netflix’s most successful action series to date. Season 1 of the series claims the seventh spot on the streamer’s globalTop 10 Most Popular Showsand has an impressive 98.2 million views on the streamer. Further speaking to the success of the series,The Night Agenthas a 74% rating on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer, making the series certified ‘fresh’. Admittedly, the series does not have the widespread critical acclaim that action series such asReacherandPrison Breakdo. Season 3 of ‘The Night Agent’Has Been Confirmed
Although Season 2 of the series is only just looming on the horizon, athird season for the serieshas already been confirmed. The confirmation announcement was made back in October 2024. Speaking toTudum, series creator Shawn Ryan said:
“We’re so excited that our fans will get to watch Season 2 of The Night Agent in early 2025, and we’ve been hard at work writing Season 3 to deliver more breathless Peter Sutherland Night Action adventures to our rabid audience.”
