Earlier this month, it was confirmed thatArrowstarStephen Amell, an unabashed fan of the WWE, would be getting in the ring atWWE SummerSlam 2015.Stephen Amellteamed up with WWE Superstar Neville (a.k.a. Ben Satterly) for a tag-team match with the actor’s rival Stardust and Barrett at the pay-per-view event, a match that didn’t disappoint. If you didn’t watchWWE SummerSlam 2015last night, there will be SPOILERS for the event, so read on at your own risk.

As expected,Stephen Amelland Neville emerged victorious over Stardust and Barrett, but many fans probably weren’t expecting the actor to perform so well in the squared circle. After the match, WWE released a video from theSummerSlammatch’s final moments, whereStephen Amellflung himself off the top rope to take out both of his opponents outside of the ring. He then threw Barrett back into the ring, enabling his partner to pull off his finishing move, appropriately dubbed the Red Arrow, to secure the victory.

WWE fans are often treated to celebrity appearances during their weeklyMonday Night RAWand Smackdown shows, along with pay-per-view events likeSummerSlam. Those celebrities rarely put in the time and effort to put on a convincing performance in and out of the ring, butStephen Amellcertainly exceeded most fans' expectations. TheArrowstar’s rivalry with Stardust goes back to a Monday Night RAW event on Memorial Day, where the actor was seen watching the action from a ringside seat when he was confronted by the wrestler. This spawned months of verbal sparring between the two through social media, which came to a head when Stardust stole an iconic line fromStephen Amell’s characterOliver Queen, “You failed this city,” during a Smackdown event.Stephen Amelllater added that he has been honing his WWE skills, claiming that hisArrow Season 4costume reveal atComic-Conwas his first chance to put together a “WWE-style promo.”
