Yesterday marked the 32nd anniversary of the originalGhostbustershitting theaters, with Sony releasing new videos that shed some light on their upcoming reboot, in celebration of “Ghostbusters Day.” Last night, the celebration continued as the past and present came together on ABC’sJimmy Kimmel Live. StarsBill Murray,Dan Aykroyd,Ernie HudsonandAnnie Potts, who all have cameos in the reboot, united with the newGhostbusterscastKristen Wiig,Melissa McCarthy,Kate McKinnonandLeslie Jones. While this episode was certainly a lot of fun for all involved,Jimmy Kimmeldid delve into some serious issues as well. In one of the videos below, the host touches upon all the hatred that has been spewed forth by a number of fans of the original, who are upset about thisGhostbuseters reboot’s all-female cast. Along with all of the main cast members, this late night talk show brought in another blast from the past,Ray Parker Jr., who came back to perform the originalGhostbusterstheme song, which both casts danced to.

If that wasn’t enough, there was even an appearance from theStay Puft Marshmallow Man, while the original cast discussed how they “stole” some of their shots while shooting in New York City. The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man seen on the show was actually built by Stoopid Buddy Stoodios (Robot Chicken). They brought onBill Bryan, the creator of the original Stay Puft costume, his sonToby BryanandGeorge Troaster(Face Off) to work with their creative directorBen Bayouthin putting this together.The original cast also offered some high praise about the reboot, which they all saw the night before, and they even reacted to a number of bizarreGhostbusterstattoos.
