Given the demand for advanced tickets, it’s certainly possible thatRogue Onecould surpass this prediction, but it seems unlikely that it will come anywhere near the record debut ofStar Wars: The Force Awakens, which earned a whopping $247.9 million when it hit theaters last December. That movie would go on to make a record $936.6 million domestically, but its $2.068 billion worldwide take still fell quite short of the all-time global record of $2.7 billion byAvatar.
