The year 2013 marked the release ofWe’re the Millers, a comedy directed by Rawson M. Thurber that proved to be a box office hit with a worldwide gross of $270 million. Starring Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis, Emma Roberts, and Will Poulter, this production follows David, a small-time Denver drug dealer who does just enough work to make ends meet. However, his gullible nature prompts him to have his stash and money stolen, which results in a huge debt to his supplier.
The only way to settle this debt is to travel to Mexico in order to smuggle a massive amount of drugs, even though this mission is extremely dangerous and could potentially get him arrested. So, in order to fly under the radar and successfully smuggle the drugs, David hires two of his neighbors and a teenage runaway to pose as his family, and the four hit the road in an RV, unaware that, throughout their bizarre and hazardous adventures, they will grow into a real family.
