In fact, this former bathing suit beauty boldly states that it will suck.

Yes, even though she is rumored for a cameo, original cast member of the 1989Baywatch,Pamela Anderson, doesn’t think it’s a good idea. She scoffs atDwayne JohnsonandZac Efron’s attempts to take over the franchise. According toTMZ, when they asked her about the big screen reboot of her hit series, she had this to say.

“No one appreciates the remakes.”

TMZdoesn’t go onto give proper quotes, but according to the news source,Pamela Andersonbelieves the former series, which actually began life on NBC before being canceled and then turned into a hit syndicated show worldwide, should never be made into a movie. The actress calls her time on the long-running show the best time of her life. She also claims that the 90s were a ‘simpler, sweeter time’. What is her main problem with the Baywatch movie, though? She just doesn’t think it can work on the big screen.

Seth Gordon, director ofHorrible Bosses, is behind the Baywatch movie, which will be an action comedy. Before hesigned on,David Hasselhoffclaimed that he would be in the movie, but that he wanted to play himself, and not his character Mitch Buchannon. It isn’t known if that idea has changed or evolved.Zac Efronseems to have a lot of faith in the adaptation. He toldReutersthat it will be big and badass. And yes, it will be raunchy.

“I think we’re going pretty big with it and I don’t think it’s going to be much like the old Baywatch to be honest. I think we’re going to kind of reinvent it in a big way, and [Johnson] has big plans for it. I know he’s very ambitious.”
