After two seasons of watching the ups and downs of AFC Richmond, we are certainly ready for the third wave of episodes about Coach Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis), Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham), and their soccer team. This may be the last final season, considering the story arc was planned as a three-season show, as executive producer Bill Lawrence affirmed a while ago. “I would probably stay clean and say that even ifTed Lassogoes on, the story the writing staff has been telling had a beginning, middle, and end for the first three seasons,” he saidin an interview to Deadline. “And then it might veer off from that.”

A Quick Recap

Ted Lasso’sfirst season shows Ted Lasso, the goofy-but-lovely American college football coach contracted to coach a European soccer team by its owner: Rebecca Welton. DespiteTed’s good intentions with the team, the series shows that his hiring is just Rebecca’s attempt to make her team fail. AFC Richmond was the thing that her ex-husband – who cheated and asked for a divorce – loved most on earth, so she wants to destroy it.

While the first season finishes with Ted bringing the team and Rebecca together and losing the final game, the second season introduces a new storyline involving a love triangle between Keeley Jones (Juno Temple) and two of the main AFC Richmond players. We also see Ted deal with mental health issues and a dispute with his pupil, Nathan Shelley (Nick Mohammed), who betrays Ted, telling the press about his anxiety attacks. As a result, Nathan is estranged from the team and hired by its major rival, West Ham – Rebecca’s ex-husband’s soccer team.

Rebecca’s Happy Ending

We may have startedTed Lasso’s first season upset with Rebecca after she hires Ted to destroy her team, but it’s impossible not to fall for her charismatic character and root for her when her ex-husband appears.

Rebecca is one of the characters who most had the most growth inTed Lasso’s two seasons. She went from a snobbish rich woman to a fantastic friend to Ted and Keeley. From a cold-hearted person to a lovely almost girlfriend to Sam Obisanya (Toheeb Jimoh). And, lastly, from an absent godmother to the best godmother to her goddaughter, Nora.

So, it is impossible not to root for a happy ending for this woman. And most die-hard fans hope this happy ending can be dating Ted.
