Not a Perfect Ending
After Kitty decides to go to Seoul to meet her boyfriend, Dae, and finally be together in real liferather than through a phone screen, she realizes that maybe this wasn’t the best decision. It wasn’t a wise decision to go there without telling Dae and it is more than a simple surprise; she is changing countries after all. She joins the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS) where her mother spent a year.

It was the perfect opportunity to be with her boyfriend and also take a look at her mother’s past. When she gets there, she thinks that Dae ischeating on her with Yuri(Gia Kim), but she discovers that it is a fake relationship. Despite finding out the truth about the fake couple, Kitty and Dae’s relationship doesn’t last for long. Her love for Dae disappears, and he is no longer the boy, or partner, of her dreams. The good part is that there were no hard feelings between the two of them.
The Beginning of a Love Square
Things get more complicated for Kitty as she realizes that she developed feelings for Yuri. The realization was shocking to Kitty as she believed that she was straight so in return, she was filled with confusion about the entire matter. When Dae and Yuri break up, Kitty wants to know why they broke up but Darw refuses to tell her.
She thendiscovers that Yuri is gayand this is why she was in a fake relationship with Dae. Not to mention that Yuri isn’t out yet and when her mother found out about the girl she loves, she made sure to send her as far away as possible from Yuri.

With time, Kitty’s feelings for Yuri keep growing as she now sees her in a completely different light than she used to see her before. Things get more complicated as Kitty is informed by the school that she will be expelled. This decision comes after Kitty was first sent to live in the boys’ dorms because her name was confused with that of a boy.
When this matter is resolved, Kitty decides to stay at the boys’ dorms since it is more comfortable. However, when the exam results are posted, a professor discovers Kitty at the boys’ dorms, which is against the school’s policy. This made Principal Jina, Yuri’s mother, inform Kitty that she would be expelled.

We later see Kitty at the airport getting ready to go home and the moment that all who ship her with Yuri are waiting for comes. Kitty is so close to telling Yuri how she feels, but they are interrupted by the arrival of Juliana (Regan Aliyah), Yuri’s girlfriend whom her mother sent away. Of course, this breaks Kitty’s heart and she decides to leave the couple without saying what she came to say.
The only positive part is that Yuri feels bad for Kitty, and she calls her mother to ask her not to expel her. It is hinted that Yuri might feel something for Kitty as well, which may be the real reason behind her asking her mother to help Kitty. However, the apparent reason is that she and Kitty become closer during her stay there and Kitty played a role in reuniting Yuri with Juliana after all this time.
Things Got More Complicated
Another love option appears in Kitty’s life, and he is Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee). This was a nice change of events since at first, Min Ho,the school’s bad boyand Dae’s best friend, didn’t care at all about Kitty nor did he like her; the feeling was mutual.
However, we see an unexpected turn at the end ofXO, Kittyas Min Ho takes the same plane that Kitty is on and sits next to her. It is only when he knows through Kitty that she broke up with Dae that he admits to her how he fell in love with her. This sent the series’ fans into a frenzy as many people cheered and hoped that the two of them would end up together. Who doesn’t lovean enemy-to-lovers story?
There is the possibility that Kitty decides to explore a relationship with Min Ho especially since both of them will be in America. They might be in different states, but distance didn’t stop her when she was with Dae. One of the questions we have to ask is whether Kitty feels anything at all toward Min Ho or she will simply use him to get over Yuri?
There is also a possibility that Kitty will return to KISS thanks to Yuri and maybe then she would try once again to tell her how she feels. We can only wait and see how this love square will be solved and who will Kitty end up with because as far as Season 1 is concerned, she doesn’t end up with anyone.
